The DFA Offensive Skills Program is a way for your middle school athlete continue to work on their offensive skill(s) of choice. This package allows you to take advantage of our high level QB and WR coaching on a weekly basis. We are lucky to have high school and college level coaches to help them work on their skills, techniques and the mental part of playing offense.

QB Coach, Chandler Davis

QB Coach / Offensive Specialist

 

Quarterback Coach Chandler offers a unique perspective to the quarterback position. He acquired his skills by learning and working under Will Hewlett. Hewlett is one of the nation’s top quarterback coaches and is a lead coach at QB collective where he works directly with Head Coaches Matt Lafleur, of the Green Bay Packers, Kyle Shanahan, with the San Francisco Forty Niners and Sean Mcvay the with the LA Rams. Through Coach Hewlett, Chandler observed the specialized coaching of youth, high school, college, and even professional quarterbacks. Under Hewlett mentorship, Chandler worked closely with former Washington State Quarterback Anthony Gordon during his NFL-combine prep.

Chandler focuses on the philosophy of throwing mechanics, which he believes are the foundation behind all great quarterbacks. He specializes in building the fundamentals of throwing mechanics by utilizing video analysis to break down every throw, drills to reenforce proper footwork, and on-field examples to simulate game-time situations.

After playing college football at the University of Wisconsin Stevens-Point for two years, he transferred to UC Berkeley to focus on his studies and finish his degree in biomechanics. He is currently coaching quarterbacks throughout the Bay Area and has coached many quarterbacks who are currently playing college football. Chandler has a passion for teaching the game to quarterbacks of all ages.


WR Coach, Brian Goodell
WR / DB Coach


A Pleasanton native who played football, baseball and basketball at Foothill high school. Goodell had contributed to back to back Championships compiling a 24-2 record. A 1st team All Bay Area Wide Receiver as well as 1st team Best of the Best as Defensive Back. He set a EBAL record 11 Interceptions his senior year. As WR he compiled 890 yards on 38 catches and 11 touchdowns. He was selected to the Cerebral Palsy All Star game for Alameda County.Football landed Goodell at Texas Tech playing for Spyke Dykes father of current SMU head coach Sonny Dykes. The school that founded the Air Raid Offense. However just before going to play Peyton Manning in Tennessee he got an offer for full scholarship lured him to Idaho State University. He even took part in the NFL Regional combine, trying out in Southern California for 20 professional teams.

Goodell has been fortunate to have a strong coaching pedigree with some of the best coaches in the game including Fred Biletnikoff Jr, James Franklin Head Coach at Penn State, Tom Walsh OC for Oakland Raiders Super Bowl team, Derek Mason Vanderbilt Head Coach, Lance Anderson Stanford Defensive Coordinator & Bruce Barnum Head Coach Portland State.

Goodell is married to Lindsey and they have three kids Tatum 9, Bryson 7 & Brooks 2. His father Steve Goodell a former pitcher at USC and Pittsburgh Pirates, his brother Steve Goodell Jr was drafted by Florida Marlins and played with Atlanta braves organization.
